Question by mommyRee: what is a good laptop; capable of hooking to tv for services?
husband asked me to see if I could get some in regards to a laptop. He’s wanting one to hook to tv and get services that way instead of paying cable…
So, what is a good laptop? Any input you may have on the topic will be greatly appreciated.

ok, you want a few things. look for a laptop with a dedicated video card that has an HDMI port. you also want a lot hard drive space for all the shows you will be saving. most laptops dont come with tv tuner cards, but thats an easy enough problem to fix, you just need an adapter

also, if this computer is going to live next to your tv you might want to think about building an HTPC.
